Almost a month after Fred Perry tapped the legendary virtual band members of The Gorillaz to showcase its iconic polo T-shirt in a campaign, the British label is back again, reuniting with the band to drop a unique collaborative selection of apparel and accessories.
The collection features both menswear and womenswear, with each piece having a band member put their own unique stamp on classic garments. There are bold prints and signature embroidery at the chest, as well as the distinctive crane print that run throughout the collection. Additionally, we see a pique dress and a pleated tennis dress, while the highlights of the collection certainly are the track jackets and matching pants which serve as a canvas for embroidery and subtle Gorillaz-infused motifs. Elsewhere, there are three adaptations of the classic Harrington Jacket and a recycled polyester bomber jacket which round out the collection’s hero outerwear pieces.
The Fred Perry x The Gorillaz collection can be explored via the band’s motorhome (its virtual and current HQ) from May 20, although a register prior to the release is required for purchasing any of the pieces from the collection via the Fred Perry website.
